David Koelle, M.D., is a board certified physician at UWMC-Roosevelt and a UW professor of Medicine, Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Laboratory Medicine and an adjunct professor of Global Health.

Dr. Koelle has cared for HIV-infected persons in his outpatient practice since 1989. His clinic practice seeks to individualize patient care by meeting each patient where they are, to educate patients about their disorders and treatments, to motivate patients to stick with treatment long-term, and to optimize outcomes by judicious use of health maintenance and referral resources and by providing clear communication with referring providers.

Dr. Koelle earned his M.D. at the UW. He is board certified in both Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. His clinical and research interests include care of HIV-infected persons, vaccinology, immunodeficiency, herpes virus infections and diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Koelle enjoys parenting, winter sports and music.
