Daniel Sabath, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified hematopathologist and UW's head of Hematology for Laboratory Medicine. He is director of the Hematology and Coagulation Laboratories at Harborview and UW Medical Center and co-director of the Molecular Hematopathology Laboratory at SCCA. He is also a UW associate professor of Laboratory Medicine and adjunct associate professor of Medical Genetics and Medicine.

Dr. Sabath's highest priority is that lab services maximize patient convenience while providing accurate, precise and rapid test results.

Dr. Sabath earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests are on developing new molecular diagnostic tests for minimal residual disease in cancer. Dr. Sabath is an active member of the Association for Molecular Pathology and the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Sabath enjoys bicycling, skiing, music and New York Times crossword puzzles.
