About Corey Casper
Corey Casper, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician at SCCA and UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Medicine. He is head of Global Oncology and a member of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease and Public Health Science divisions at Fred Hutch.
Dr. Casper focuses on infection-related cancers in low-resource settings. He sees his role as an educator, motivator and advocate.
Dr. Casper earned his M.D. at Cornell and his M.P.H. at the UW. In 2004, he established a partnership between the Uganda Cancer Institute and Fred Hutch aimed at novel cancer care approaches in low-resource settings. Dr. Casper chairs the Kaposi Sarcoma Group of the AIDS Malignancy Consortium, advises the National Cancer Advisory Board on Global Health and writes national care guidelines for infections for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Casper enjoys sailing, travel, mountain biking and playing guitar.
