Colleen Brown, A.R.N.P., is a board certified nurse practitioner at the Maternal and Infant Care Clinic at UW Medical center and a UW teaching associate of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Brown enjoys helping women make pregnancy a time of lifestyle change and health promotion. She enjoys assisting in the management of high risk pregnancies. She also enjoys assisting women in finding contraceptive options individualized to each patient's unique experience and lifestyle, and is experienced in placement of intrauterine devices and the contraceptive implant Nexplanon.
Brown received her medical education at the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical and research interests include hypertension in pregnancy, antepartum diabetes management, family planning and contraceptive management and the emotional well being of high risk obstetrical patients.
When not in the office, Colleen and her husband enjoy taking advantage of all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. They spend time with family and friends exploring the food and music scenes, as well as hiking or SUP'ing around the Seattle area with their dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Colleen enjoys practicing whatever her favorite exercise trend of the month is, as well as swimming on a more regular basis. She is a long time violist and violinist, and plays in the viola section of the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra
