Christopher Kim, M.D., M.B.A., S.F.H.M., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center, associate medical director for UW Quality and Safety and a UW associate professor of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Kim believes patients and their doctors should work together in partnership and jointly decide the best plan for the patient’s health care needs based on the available information and the values of the patient. Dr. Kim earned his M.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a senior fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine. His research and clinical interests include hospital medicine, quality improvement, patient safety and medical education.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Kim enjoys coaching, teaching and helping others develop and grow in their interests. This gives him a lot of personal and professional satisfaction. He also enjoys participating in several activities such as tennis, golf and baseball.
