Biography

Christopher Behrens, M.D., is a UW clinical associate professor of medicine with joint appointments in the Departments of Global Health, Family Medicine, and Medicine/Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington. He is an attending physician at the Family Medicine Clinic at Harborview and Madison Clinic at Harborview, a primary care clinic for people with HIV.

Behrens obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science at Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of California – San Francisco. He is board-certified in family medicine.

His clinical interests include family medicine, HIV, hepatitis C and global health. Behrens strives to establish a therapeutic partnership with his patients that informs and empowers them to co-manage their medical conditions as effectively as possible.

Personal Interests

Behrens enjoys running, hiking, reading and spending time with his wife and three dogs.
