Christina Chavez, M.D., is a psychiatrist at Hall Health Center on the UW campus and a UW assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Chavez provides consultation to patients for placement on medication and ongoing psychotherapy with an eclectic approach. She is also involved with the training of psychiatric residents. She believes listening to the patient is the foundation of an excellent doctor-patient relationship. Therefore, she is attentive to her patient's concerns and presents the benefits and risks of any treatment offered.
Dr. Chavez earned her M.D. at the University of Texas. Her clinical interests include women's issues regarding premenstrual and perimenopausal syndromes. She also has extensive experience with post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition to her practice with UW Medicine, she maintains a private practice in Seattle.
In addition to providing care to her patients, Dr. Chavez enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors.
