Chihiro Morishima, M.D., is a board certified pediatrician and director of the UW Medicine Clinical Immunology Laboratory and Research Testing Services and a UW associate professor of Laboratory Medicine.

Dr. Morishima’s clinical focus is on developing immunological monitoring systems and interpretation of serum and urine protein electrophoresis and immunofixation results. 

Dr. Morishima earned her M.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. She was founding director of the Immune Monitoring Central Laboratory and remains a consultant for the NCI-sponsored Cancer Immunotherapy Trials Network. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, Subboard of Pediatric Rheumatology and a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Morishima enjoys knitting, skiing and going to the farmer’s market.
