About Catherine Liu
Catherine Liu, M.D., is a board certified physician at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. She is Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s medical director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy and associate director of Infection Control. She is also a UW associate professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Liu specializes in prevention and treatment of infections among immunocompromised patients. She believes in establishing a partnership with her patients and a multidisciplinary team of providers to deliver the highest quality care.
Dr. Liu earned her M.D. from UC San Francisco. She is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. Her clinical and research interests include Infections in immunocompromised hosts including those with cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients, treatment of antimicrobial resistant infections and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy.

In her free time Dr. Liu enjoys spending time with family, cooking, enjoying the outdoors and travel.
