Dr. Paine was exceptionally attentive. He listened to my many concerns, explained the cause of my CKD so that I finally understood it. He intelligently and knowledgeably addressed my nutritional and other less traditional options for care. He shared his goal for keeping my CKD from progressing, which was why I was there. This was among the best appointments I have ever had at UW.

Dr Paine was the absolute best! He was caring, compassionate, informative, and listened well. He treated me with respect and dignity as well as seeing the whole person and complete picture of my needs. Every doctor should learn from him how to interact with patients and treat them like he does. Couldn't have been happier to have the opportunity to meet him and be served by him.

I have a very rare illness and I usually have anxiety going to my appointments, because of past providers outside of UW, I NEVER feel anxiety seeing Dr. Paine. He is a calming presence and knows so much more than most. Wonderful Dr. I hope he stays with UW as long as possible hes amazing.
