About Carol Leigh Metcalf
Carol Metcalf, A.R.N.P., M.N., R.N., is a board certified nurse practitioner with the UW Medicine Pain Relief Service and a UW teaching associate of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Metcalf believes every patient deserves individualized, impartial care reflecting his or her needs, values and choices, provided in a safe and effective manner. She enjoys working closely with patients with challenging pain management problems, to help them improve comfort and function during an acute illness or following trauma.
Metcalf received her medical education from the UW. Her clinical and research interests include regional analgesia following surgery and trauma, pain and addiction and perioperative pain management including pre-emptive pain relief measures.
Personal Interests
In her free time Metcalf enjoys music, outdoor activities like gardening, backpacking, hiking and running, reading and, most importantly, time with family and friends.
