Caitlin Marra is a Physical Therapist Assistant at the University of Washington medical center. Treating out of the Eastside Specialty Center as well as the Exercise Training center at Roosevelt.

She earned her Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting at Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, and graduated in 2010. She has been treating in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy for the past six years, and started with the UW in 2015.

Clinically she is interested in sport rehabilitation as well as being able to help educate patients on strategies they can use for the rest of their lives, and about their own anatomy. Outside of sports injuries she is also interested in Women’s health and pelvic rehab.

Patient Care Philosophy

I as a provider really value being able to give back to the patient. I want to make sure they really understand why we are taking a certain treatment approach and that they know their own musculoskeletal anatomy and how it works. Why deficits or injury can cause pain or functional limitations, and how to give them the right tools to have a healthy body with a return to sports, hobbies or work.

It is very gratifying to play a role in someone’s rehab when they are able to find muscles they have never used before and light bulb moments in modifying or instructing on better ways to do daily tasks with a decrease in risk for re-injury from improved mechanics.

Personal Interests

My personal interests include hiking, bodybuilding/weightlifting, hot yoga, video gaming, car shows and racing, and photography.
