About Bryan R. Kestenbaum
Bryan Kestenbaum, M.D., is a board certified nephrologist and epidemiologist at the UW Kidney Research Institute and a UW professor of Medicine and Nephrology and an adjunct professor of Epidemiology. Dr. Kestenbaum also chairs the UW Medical School course in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr. Kestenbaum is an expert in the metabolic complications of chronic kidney. He leads a clinical research group that actively investigates chronic kidney disease and holds several National Institutes of Health grants. He is grateful to be a physician at Harborview Medical Center, surrounded by world-class experts across many medical disciplines.
Dr. Kestenbaum earned his M.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He is board certified in Nephrology and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine and research Dr. Kestenbaum enjoys music, reading, photography, golf and coaching kids sports.
