About Bruce M. Psaty
Bruce M. Psaty, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician at the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview and a UW professor of General Internal Medicine and Epidemiology and an adjunct professor of Health Services. Dr. Psaty also co-directs UW Medicine’s Cardiovascular Health Research Unit.
Dr. Psaty emphasizes prevention and enjoys working with patients, advising them and helping them manage and maintain their health.
Dr. Psaty earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Indiana University and his M.P.H. from the UW. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science, the American Epidemiological Society, the Association of American Physicians and fellow of the American Heart Association. In 2013, the American Heart Association designated Dr. Psaty as a Distinguished Scientist. Dr. Psaty is also a member of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Science Board and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Advisory Council.
