About Brian R. Wood
Brian Wood, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Madison Clinic at Harborview, associate medical director for the Harborview Satellite HIV Clinic and medical director of the Mountain West AIDS Education and Training Center (MWAETC) ECHO telehealth project. He is also a UW assistant professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and associate professor of Medicine.
Dr. Wood dedicates his clinical time to delivering primary care for individuals living with HIV. He believes each patient should be treated as an individual. He works together as a team with each patient to ensure he or she receives the highest quality care.
Dr. Wood earned his M.D. at the UW. He is board certified in both Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. He serves as Associate Editor for the National HIV Curriculum (http://www.hiv.uw.edu) and as a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Telemedicine and Emerging Technologies Working Group. He is faculty trainer for the MWAETC. His clinical and research interests include the use of telehealth and other technology to bring HIV education and clinical support to community providers and trainees.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Wood enjoys hiking, climbing, skiing and travel.
