Biography

Brian Liem, M.D., F.A.A.P.M.R., is a board certified physician at the Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium and a UW assistant professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and Sports & Spine Medicine.

To foster active, functional patients, Dr. Liem educates them about their injuries and works with them to develop sound treatment plans.

Dr. Liem earned his M.D. from New York University School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. His clinical interests include non-operative treatment of injuries, bursitis, tendinitis, rotator cuff impingement, knee pain, ankle sprain, tennis elbow, labral tear, sciatica, radiculopathy, herniated disc, platelet rich plasma, joint and bursa steroid injections, viscosupplementation and lumbar epidural steroids. His research interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, regenerative medicine and tendinopathy.

Personal Interests

Dr. Liem spends his free time eclectically, partaking in street food, Texas BBQ, traveling, home improvement, automotive repair, running and biking.
