About Brenda Marie Sandmaier
Brenda Sandmaier, M.D., is a board certified oncologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, a member in the Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and a UW professor of Oncology and Medicine.
Dr. Sandmaier’s goal is to provide information integrated with knowledge from both research and clinical experience to patients and their families to allow the patient to actively participate in treatment decisions. This will build a partnership between the patient and the clinical team for the duration of their treatment.
Dr. Sandmaier earned her M.D. at the University of Alberta, Canada. She is board certified in both Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include multi-institutional clinical trials in hematopoietic cell transplantation for hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and myelodysplastic syndrome.

In her free time Dr. Sandmaier enjoys bicycling and travel.
