About Barbara Jean Dailey

Barbara Dailey, D.N.P., A.R.N.P., F.I.B.H., is a board certified doctor of nursing for the Surgical Pain Service at UW Medical Center. She has been named a Seattle Magazine Top Doctor.

Dr. Dailey specializes in pain management. She is also a certified medical support hypnotherapist and neuro-linguistic programming therapist.

Dr. Dailey received her medical education at the UW. Her clinical interests include hypnotherapy to relieve suffering, stress management, holistic pain management, appropriate use of pharmaceuticals, and whole food nutrition and exercise for health and pain management. Her research interests include hypnotherapy, nutrition and supplementation, botanical medicine, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders and their relationship to pain and suffering. Her teaching interests include integrative medicine and hypnotherapy.

Personal Interests

Beyond practicing medicine, Dailey enjoys theatre, yoga, bicycling, hiking, music, gardening and spending as much time as she can with her husband, children and grandchildren.
