Armagan Dagal, M.D., F.R.C.A., M.H.A., is director of Harborview’s Spine and Orthopedic Anesthesia services, co-director of the Enhanced Perioperative Care Program and a UW associate professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and and adjunct associate professor of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Dagal values the importance of caring for the whole person rather than just a disease.
Dr. Dagal earned his M.D. from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey and his M.H.A. from the UW. He serves as a member of the Committee on Trauma and Disaster Preparedness of American Society of Anesthesiologists. He is co-founder, secretary and treasurer of the Trauma Anesthesiology Society and a committee member or chair of several other national and international Trauma and Enhanced Recovery Societies. His academic research interests include spine surgery, trauma systems, enhanced recovery, healthcare quality improvement and perioperative medicine.
Dr. Dagal enjoys spending his spare time sailing and diving.
