About Anthony Lam Bui
Anthony L. Bui, MD, MPH, is a resident pediatrician at the UW Medical Center - Montlake, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Harborview Pediatrics Clinic.
Dr. Bui believes that it is essential to understand a broad view of a patient’s life — including their medical issues, social circumstances, cultural backgrounds, and personal strengths and aspirations — to provide the best care. He finds great joy in partnering with patients and families to support them during difficult times in their lives as they navigate both acute and chronic health concerns.
His clinical interests include providing primary and preventative care to patients of all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. He has interests in public health, research, and advocacy to promote health equity and social justice, focused on vulnerable populations. He is also interested in injury prevention and the allocation of health resources.
Dr. Bui obtained his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he was a David Geffen Medical Scholar and was awarded the John M. Adams Award for Excellence in Pediatrics, the Edward A. Langdon Award for compassionate and humanistic qualities, and the Gerald S. Levey Leadership Award. He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He obtained his MPH in Global Health Metrics and Evaluation from the University of Washington and his BA in Economics and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In his free time, Dr. Bui enjoys exercising, bouldering, yoga, and hiking. A child of Vietnamese refugees, Dr. Bui enjoys reading stories and novels from immigrants and refugees. He also loves to explore Seattle and the broader King County through its beautiful diversity of food.
