Anoop Patel, M.D., is a surgeon in Neurology at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Neurosurgery.

Dr. Patel specializes in treating malignant brain tumors, skull base tumors, vascular lesions and cranial neuropathies. He believes in creating active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Patel earned his M.D. from Harvard. He is a recipient of the Burroughs Wellcome Foundation Career Award in Medical Sciences. Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include treatment of tumors of the skull base, brain and spinal cord. His research interests include using detailed profiling of patient tumors to understand how tumor heterogeneity leads to treatment resistance in glioblastoma.

Personal Interests

In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys scuba diving, golfing, hiking and camping.
