Andrew McCoy, M.D., M.S., is a physician in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center. He was the inaugural EMS fellow at the UW, and continues his efforts there as an instructor of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. McCoy likes to to be able to help patients who are acutely ill and injured. He is happy to serve those most injured, including the community’s underserved population, in the Emergency Department.

Dr. McCoy earned M.D. and M.S. at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He speaks nationally as part of the Resuscitation Academy faculty and has presented nationally as part of the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians meeting.

Dr. McCoy’s clinical and research interests include pre-hospital patient care, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest care, pre-hospital airway management and pre-hospital trauma care.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. McCoy enjoys skiing, kayaking and hiking.
