Andreas Grabinsky, M.D., is a board certified physician and program director for Emergency and Trauma Anesthesia at Harborview. He also is a UW associate professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Grabinsky is especially interested in the care of trauma patients who are often affected at a young age by a life-altering experience. Many will undergo a long healing process and the first few hours after the accident can often improve patients' outcomes.

Dr. Grabinsky studied medicine in Germany at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University and received his advanced medical degree in quality management from the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg. He completed a residency training in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain medicine at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Grabinsky’s clinical work is centered around the resuscitation and anesthesia of trauma patients and stabilizing patients for emergent surgeries.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Grabinsky enjoys bicycling, traveling and a combination of both.
