Amanda Rhea Kost, MD, sees patients at the Harborview Family Medicine Clinic including infants, children, adults, elders and pregnant women. She sees hospitalized patients and performs deliveries at the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Kost is also a UW assistant professor of family medicine in the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Kost earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her MD from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. She teaches the second year introduction to clinical medicine course as part of her role as college mentor, advises students interested in pursuing a career in family medicine and is developing components of the new UWSOM curriculum.

Dr. Kost's clinical interests include health literacy, motivational interviewing and family planning. She believes in whole person care across the life span in the context of each patient's family and community.
