About Allison M. Himmel

Allison Himmel, M.D., is a board certified physician at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Himmel feels it is a great honor to be able to work with patients who are hospitalized during what may be a frightening or uncertain part of their lives. She enjoys working with patients and their families to help ease some of that uncertainty as she works together with her patients to navigate a plan that respects each individual patient's wishes about their medical care.

Dr. Himmel earned her M.D. from the UC San Francisco. Her clinical and research interests include medical education, quality improvement and underserved populations.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Himmel enjoys travel, restaurants and hiking.
