About Alison L. Perrin
Alison Lytle Perrin, MD, FACS, is a board-certified surgeon at UWMC Northwest. She spends half her working life in the operating room, and half in clinic, splitting her clinic time between the Surgical Services and Hernia Center and the Breast Surgery Clinic. She is a Clinical UW Associate Professor of Surgery who enjoys working with, teaching, and training residents and students.
Dr. Perrin loves offering a wide range of general surgery skills including breast cancer treatment (lumpectomy, mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery), laparoscopic and robotic surgery, endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands), varicose vein surgery and dialysis access. She spends time getting to know her patients and their families and treats them as she would want her family members treated. She wants her patients to be knowledgeable about their diagnosis and treatment options to help optimize and personalize their surgical care.
Dr. Perrin earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering, medical degree, and surgical residency training all from the University of Washington. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and holds memberships in the Seattle Surgical Society (where she is a board member and secretary), the Washington Medical Association, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Personal Interests
Dr. Perrin enjoys spending time with her friends, husband and two young adult daughters. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, skiing, swimming, playing board games, and reading. She would like to get back to playing more piano and cello as her children leave home for college and adult lives of their own.
