About Alisha L. Janssen
Alisha L. Janssen, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist who serves people recovering from neurological and physical injuries and illness. Dr. Janssen focuses on rehabilitative practices that aid in her patients’ adjustment process.
Dr. Janssen earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuroscience from Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. She completed both her residency and fellowship specialization in rehabilitation psychology at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Janssen’s clinical research interests include psychological resilience, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and values-based approaches for adjustment. Her research interests include improving cognitive functioning for individuals with neurodegenerative disease diagnoses, neural networks as markers for neurological resilience and improving quality of life for individuals with neurodegenerative disease.
Dr. Janssen looks forward to helping her patients reorient back to values and goals important in their lives as they journey back home.
