About Ali C. Ravanpay
Ali Ravanpay, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurosurgeon at the Neurological Surgery Clinic at Harborview Medical Center and at Veterans Administration Puget Sound. He is also an assistant professor of Neurological Surgery at the UW.
Dr. Ravanpay specializes in brain tumors, spine disorders and peripheral neuropathies. He treats his patients as he would his own family members. He provides detailed information about their disease and treatment to help them take an active part in making decisions about their care. He also helps guide them through stressful decisions.
Dr. Ravanpay earned his MD and PhD at the UW Medicine. His clinical interests include brain and spine tumors, spine disorders and peripheral neuropathies. His research interests include understanding how brain tumors develop and developing novel ways of treating them.
Personal Interests
Dr. Ravanpay enjoys spending time with his wife and sons reading, biking, skiing and traveling. And every Saturday is family movie night.
