Alexander Doud, MD, MS, is a physician scientist with dual training in biomedical engineering. He serves patients with epilepsy as well as general neurological conditions and takes a special interest in finding new approaches to treating conditions at the intersection between mind and brain.
His research interests involve the development of methods for visualizing the epileptic network. Past projects have included a closed-loop non-invasive brain computer interface, virtual reality rehabilitation systems and simulators for the instruction of medical techniques. He is currently engaged in research with Seattle Children's Hospital and UW Medical Center to bring to the bedside new technologies aimed at understanding and treating neurological disease.
Dr. Doud enjoys playing tennis, juggling and spending time with family.
