Abigail Tangney, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and clinical teaching associate in the Department of General Surgery at UW Medical Center – Montlake who specializes in the pre and post-operative care of foregut surgery patients.

Abigail cares for patients who undergo operations for esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, paraesophageal hernias, gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, obesity, and abdominal wall and inguinal hernias. Abigail works in both the hospital and clinic; she enjoys being able to work with patients through the entire process - from their pre-operative appointment to their hospitalization and post-operative visit. She is passionate about patient care and health literacy and enjoys helping people understand their surgery and recovery process.
