About Wendy H. Raskind
Wendy Raskind, M.D., Ph.D. is a board certified physician at the Genetic Medicine Clinic and the Center on Human Development and Disability at UW Medical Center. She is also a UW professor of General Internal Medicine, Medical Genetics, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and an adjunct professor of Genome Sciences.
She particularly enjoys the practice of Genetic Medicine because it involves so much teaching - of student, residents fellows and patients.
Dr. Raskind earned her M.D. and Ph.D. at the UW. Her clinical and research interests include identification of genes for inherited disorders with a focus on neurologic diseases and decades of research on causes of genetic disorders and identification of many genes for hematologic and neurologic diseases.
Personal Interests
In her spare time, Dr. Raskind enjoys cooking, painting, and watching her grandchildren grow up.
