Paul Borghesani, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist with the Psychiatry Consultation Service at Harborview, a UW associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and an adjunct associate professor of Radiology and assistant director of the UW Psychiatry clerkship.
Dr. Borghesani provides emergency psychiatric care and pharmacologic management to patients with acute psychotic illnesses.
Dr. Borghesani earned his M.D. at Harvard. His clinical and research interests include bipolar and related disorders, delirium, dementia and other neurocognitive disorders, the study of aging and cognitive impairment to understand what constitutes healthy or optimal cognitive aging and the use of neuroimaging to differentiate benign age-related cognitive changes from early dementia.
