The Food and Nutrition Department promotes the health and well being of patients, public, and staff through quality nutritional care, education, and quality food services.

​​​​​​​Chef cooking fresh meal for our patients.​We serve the UWMC community in the Plaza Café for patient families, guests, and staff; and through the Center Dining Room Service for patients who are admitted to UWMC. Our team of clinical registered dietitians and diet technicians give outstanding personalized care to patients and work closely with our kitchen to make sure the food we serve meets our wellness goals.

Our mission is to improve the health of the community by linking evidence-based nutrition to the healthy foods we serve and to the education we provide staff, patients, and the community. ​
