Information Sessions: Surgical Therapy for Parkinson's Disease & Essential Tremor
The UW Medicine Neurosciences Institute invites those with Parkinson's Disease or Essential Tremor, and their families, to attend an information session on the innovative surgical therapy: Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). DBS is a FDA-approved neurosurgical procedure that involves implanting electrodes into the brain to alleviate the symptoms caused by movement disorders. Attendees will have the opportunity to get an overview of the procedure and participate in a question and answer session with Dr. Andrew Ko, neurological surgeon at UW Medicine.
