Liver cancer is the second most lethal malignancy worldwide, and annually affects over one million people. In the United States, hepatitis C viral infection and alcoholic liver disease have been the primary culprits, however, a recent dramatic rise in liver cancer is in large part attributed to obesity and diabetes resulting in a condition called Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). With two-thirds of Americans either overweight or obese, and with the rates of obesity skyrocketing across the world, liver cancer is becoming both a national and global health crisis.

The Center for Advanced Minimally Invasive Liver Oncologic Therapies (CAMILOT) is a team of liver cancer specialists who work together to provide state of the art care for patients in a minimally invasive fashion.

But their work doesn’t stop at the bedside. The CAMILOT team is tirelessly working on research projects aimed to diagnose and treat liver cancer in its earliest stages, as well as methods to prevent the disease entirely.

CAMILOT needs your support in order to bring this work to fruition. Please consider making a gift to the Liver Cancer Research and Education Fund below. Or if you would like to learn more about your giving options, please contact:
