Prostate, Bladder, Testicular and other Urinary Tract Cancers

The UW Medicine genitourinary cancer team provides unique multispecialized care for cancers of the prostate, urinary tract, kidneys and testicles. Our physicians are nationally known experts who work together on a multidisciplinary team that includes a surgeon, a medical oncologist, a radiation oncologist, and a pathologist, all of whom specialize exclusively in genitourinary cancers.

UW Medicine genitourinary cancer care physicians have access to every treatment option available, from proton therapy to genetic sequencing to clinical trials of new cancer therapies, enabling them to tailor treatment to the unique characteristics of your disease. As a parent organization of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), UW Medicine has access to the expertise of genitourinary specialists from three institutions—Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children's and UW Medicine—working together as a team. Our medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology services are all offered in one location, enabling our specialists to collaborate to determine the best course of care for each individual patient. Comprehensive Care

UW Medicine offers a broad range of resources to support patients throughout the duration of their genitourinary cancer care. Patients, families and caregivers can attend education classes and group activities designed to instruct, enrich and support, as well as provide opportunities to connect with others. Patients also have access to a survivorship program that provides a long-term care plan once treatment is complete. The UW Medicine genitourinary cancer team strives to address the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of patients, families and caregivers alike.
