Travel & Lodging

Kane Hall is on the University of Washington Campus which is in the University District northeast of downtown Seattle.

The conference is being held during the University of Washington’s Spring Break and often the cherry blossoms in “the quad” are in bloom during this week!

Parking on Campus

Parking is suggested in the Central Plaza Garage and is $15 per day. The entrance to the Central Plaza Garage is on 15th Ave NE and NE 41st street. The Central Plaza Garage is directly under Kane Hall.

Upon arrival to campus:

  • Stop at a campus gatehouse and advise the Parking Specialist where you are going on campus (Kane Hall)
  • A parking permit, with the closest available parking lot, will be printed and given to you to display on your vehicles dashboard as instructed.

Lodging Option, University District

If you choose to stay close to the conference in the University District, we recommend the following hotels:

Silver Cloud University District

Hotel is about a mile from the venue and they offer a free shuttle service. It is close (5 minute walk) to the University Village Shopping Center with restaurants, shopping, and other amenities. Please book your shuttle to the venue upon hotel check in.

UW Group Rate Available for Silver Cloud University District

Travel Lodge University District

Hotel is about 1 mile from the venue. Short cab/uber ride to the venue. Very close to the University Village Shopping Center (2 minute walk) with restaurants, shopping, and other amenities.

Lodging Option, Downtown Hotels

If you prefer to stay in downtown Seattle there are many options and most downtown hotels will be a 15-20 minute cab or Uber ride to the venue. There is also a Link Light Rail Station at University Street and Westlake that will take you to Husky Stadium in about 15 minutes for $2.50. The venue is about a 10 minute walk from the Husky Stadium Station.

Getting around Seattle

We recommend signing up for Uber or Lyft as these services tend to be less expensive than cabs in Seattle. Seattle Yellow Cab is also an option but likely more expensive than Uber or Lyft. Another option is Link Light Rail which provides service from Sea-Tac Airport to Husky Stadium with connections downtown.
