Neuro-Oncology Clinic at UWMC

About this Clinic

The Neuro-Oncology Clinic at UWMC is staffed by neurologists and nurse practitioners who specialize in the treatment of diseases and disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. UW Medicine's neuro-oncology team provides treatment for many brain and spinal cord cancers, including: meningiomas, gliomas, vestibular schwannomas, central nervous system lymphomas, ependymomas, recurrent brain and spine tumors and metastatic cancers.

Our team is dedicated to providing state-of-the art, patient-focused neuro-oncology care. To that end, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Neuro-Oncology Program is working to discover and implement innovative cancer treatments and technologies. UW Medicine is a partner in SCCA, along with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Children's. Our research team is actively developing and identifying clinical research studies, including studies from groups such as the National Cancer Institute's Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, as well as industry-sponsored, and physician-initiated studies. Learn more about our clinical research studies and view a list of open clinical research studies.

The Neuro-Oncology Clinic shares space with radiation oncology and neurosurgery in UWMC's Surgical Pavilion. This location provides patients with access to doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses in multiple specialties essential for the management of brain and spine cancer. Our multidisciplinary team approach enables patients to learn about a range of treatment options during one clinic appointment.

If you’re interested in learning more about these other specialties, you can visit our neurological surgery and radiation oncology clinic sites.
