NW Respiratory Associates

Services

Pulmonary medicine involves the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the lungs and respiratory system. Our experienced pulmonologists and critical care specialists use state-of-the-art interventions to skillfully diagnose and treat patients suffering from a variety of acute and chronic respiratory problems, including:

  • Adult asthma
  • COPD
  • Emphysema
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Lung masses
  • Pulmonary hypertension

If you have the following signs and symptoms, we may be able to help:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Chronic cough
  • Abnormal chest x-ray or CT scan

Spirometry

We perform spirometry in our office to help assess your lung function. This basic pulmonary function test measures how much and how fast air moves out of the lungs. If additional lung function testing is needed, we may send you to Northwest Hospital's pulmonary function lab.

Bronchoscopy

We perform bronchoscopies at Northwest Hospital. A bronchoscopy allows us to view your airway through a thin flexible instrument called a bronchoscope. We can then collect small samples of tissue or mucus to aid in a diagnosis. We may perform a special type of bronchoscopy known as EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy).

All physicians at Northwest Respiratory Associates care for patients in our clinic, in the Northwest Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and on other inpatient units throughout Northwest Hospital. If you are admitted to Northwest Hospital and your physician requests a pulmonary consultation, one of our physicians will work closely with your doctor to develop a treatment plan that suits your needs. One of our physicians will also help manage your care if you are admitted to the hospital's ICU.
