Paul Ramsey, CEO of UW Medicine, and dean of the University of Washington School of Medicine, delivers his annual state of the union address about UW Medicine
In his remarks, Dr. Ramsey stated that UW Medicine remains strong and is poised to take on the challenges of healthcare reform. He reviewed progress of the past year, including a remarkable number of advances in addressing teaching, research and clinical care, and described challenges and opportunities in 2012 and beyond.
With its mission to improve the health of the public, UW Medicine is a world leader in providing outstanding clinical care, training the next generation of healthcare professionals and advancing medical research. UW Medicine includes eight entities: Harborview Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, UW Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.
