About Yi Zhou
Yi Zhou, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified pathologist and UW Medicine’s associate medical director of Hematopathology and a UW assistant professor of Laboratory Medicine.
As a pathologist, Dr. Zhou's highest priority is to make an accurate diagnosis based on integrated information including morphology, immunophenotype, cytogenetic and molecular studies, as well as the most updated knowledge in the field.
Dr. Zhou earned his M.D. at Beijing Medical University and his Ph.D. at Louisiana State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Hematology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. His clinical and research interest include discovery of diagnostic and predictive biomarkers in hematologic neoplasms.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Zhou enjoys hiking, skiing and tennis.
