Bio

Dr. Zhou is associate medical director of hematopathology and an assistant professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine. He completed his hematopathology fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center and was an assistant professor at University of Minnesota before joining the faculty at University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Zhou is specialized in the diagnosis of hematologic neoplasms. He also conducts clinical research in the areas of discovering biomarkers associated with tumor progression and treatment response in lymphoid and myeloid neoplasms.

Patient Care Philosophy

As a pathologist, my highest priority is to make an accurate diagnosis based on integrated information including morphology, immunophenotype, cytogenetic and molecular studies, as well as, the most update knowledge in the field. I devote fully to every patient case with accuracy, efficiency and prompt communication with the clinical team.
