Douglas S Diekema, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Diekema is a UW professor of pediatrics. He has adjunct appointments in the Department of Bioethics and Humanities, the Department of Internal Medicine and the School of Public Health.

Personal Interests
Hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing, running and photography.

Clinical Interests
Sports medicine, injuries in children and wilderness medicine.

Research Interests
Ethical issues that arise in pediatric practice. He has done some research on childhood injuries in wilderness settings.

Teaching Interests
He teaches ethics to students and residents. In addition, he teaches clinical topics related to injuries in children and wilderness medicine.
