Irakli Soulakvelidze, M.D.
Dr. Soulakvelidze is a UW assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine. His clinical interests include chronic, acute pain, cancer pain and regional anesthesia.
"I believe that it is important to develop a close collaborative partnership with patients to achieve best outcomes in diagnosing and treating pain, as well as to prevent disability caused by pain."
Management of chronic and acute pain, using fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, as well as medications. He believes in a holistic approach and encourages patients to develop self-management programs for chronic pain.

Chronic regional pain syndrome, neuropathic pain and spinal pain.
To develop a standardized clinical pathway for optimal management of chronic regional pain syndrome. To help improve management of chronic pain in the primary care setting.
Teaching residents and fellows the theory and practice of pain medicine, as well as developing clinical research collaborations with them to answer new clinical questions.
