Parisa Taravati, M.D.
Dr. Taravati is a UW Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and a clinician educator. Her primary clinical interest is comprehensive ophthalmology. She also serves at the Director of the Eye Center at UW Medical Center.
She believes in educating her patients on their eye conditions and allowing them to actively participate in their medical care.
Dr. Taravati is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who treats patients through both medical and surgical procedures, as well as in-office exams.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing piano, cooking, and reading.
Dry eye; blepharitis; cataracts; glaucoma; and color blindness.
Color blindness; cataract surgery.
She teaches cataract surgery and is establishing a surgical curriculum for the resident physicians. She also teaches basic eye exam skills to beginning resident physicians.
