Jennifer T. Yu, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Yu is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and a UW clinical assistant professor. She is a clinician-educator. Her clinical interest is in comprehensive eye care including dry eyes, blepharitis, cataracts and cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetes in the eye and macular degeneration.
After graduating with highest distinction from the University of Michigan, she earned her M.D. and Ph.D. (cell biology) from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Yu remained at Washington University in St. Louis and completed ophthalmology residency training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
"She believes good patient care starts with listening to the patient
and addressing his or her concerns. She also believes that health care
is a partnership between the physician and the patient. This
involves patient education and helping the patient make informed
decisions."
Dr. Yu is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions such as dry eye, cataracts and glaucoma.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, skiing, reading, baking, and taking walks.
