Heather Leigh Evans, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Evans has been selected as a scholar in the UW K12 Mentored Career Development Program in Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER), which is funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Her mentors are Drs. David Flum and Ron Maier from the Department of Surgery and Dr. David Veenstra from the Department of Pharmacy. The award provides funding for 2010-2013, training, research funding and salary support to develop skills and a program of research in CER with a focus on dissemination and implementation.

Scope Of Care
Endocrine surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal operations. General surgery, including minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair, acute care surgery, trauma surgery and surgical critical care.
