Patel, Shilpen A.

Shilpen Ajit Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel is a radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of thoracic cancer, including lung, thymic and tracheal tumors and tumors of the gastrointestinal system. He joined the UW faculty in 2006 and is board-certified in radiation oncology. He is associate program director of the Department of Radiation Oncology.

Patient Care Philosophy
Patients should be treated as if they were family members. I believe in informing patients with as much detailed information as they desire.

Cancer affects not only the individual but also their family. It is important to care for both the patient and the family.
