Bio

Dr. Snyder is a board certified osteopathic family medicine physician and the clinic chief at the UW Neighborhood Ballard Clinic.

Patient Care Philosophy

Dr. Snyder views patients as her partners in their healthcare, working to develop an understanding of their motivations, goals and needs. Busy lives impact our health, and Dr. Snyder believes it is critically important to remain mindful of these factors in developing a plan to help improve health and optimize wellness.

Personal Interests

I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, traveling, kayaking, spending time with good friends and good food, running half marathons and watching my two daughters explore the world and find their passions.

Clinical Interests

Well-woman care and contraception, adolescent medicine, integrative medicine, LGBT health, mental health and wellness, reducing healthcare disparities, Native American health issues and end-of-life care.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Snyder previously directed the Family Medicine Clerkship at the University of New Mexico and enjoys working with medical students and residents.  Her teaching interests include health policy and community medicine, motivational interviewing, partnering with patients and wellness medicine. 

Scope of Care

Full spectrum family medicine, from newborns to geriatrics, women's healthcare (including family planning), office based procedures such as Nexplanon and IUD placement, endometrial biopsies and menopausal symptoms.

Research Interests

Improving health of communities, medical education, innovative approaches to quality improvement and non-pharmacological treatment of chronic pain.
