Susan is a certified prosthetist/orthotist and UW teaching associate with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Listen to the patient's needs and understand the rehabilitation treatment plan.

Clinical Interests

Clinical interests include pediatric orthotic treatment and upper limb prosthetic treatment of both adults and children.

Teaching Interests

Susan Spaulding teaches Upper Limb Prosthetics (RHB PO 511/512), Prosthetic and Orthotic Skills (RHB PO 501) and Professional and Practice Issues (RHB PO 502). Her teaching responsibilities also include co-teaching a class called Outcome Measures for the Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinic (RHB PO 581) and coordination of the Engineering Concepts Course (RHB PO 541).

Research Interests

Research interests include motion analysis, gait analysis and validity of measures related to orthotics and prosthetics.
