Dr Lin met me for the first time. He listened well and was thoughtful and thorough in the care he provided

Dr. Lin is a very good listener and I think is doing a good job helping get me to a much healthier state than when I first entered treatment at the Heart Failure Institute. I feel basically normal again and have learned to take more care in some activities.

About Shin Lin

Shin Lin, MD, PhD, is a board-certified heart failure and transplant cardiologist at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Cardiology.

Dr. Lin believes in creating active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Lin earned his MD and PhD at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Dr. Lin’s clinical research interests include heart failure therapies, endomyocardial biopsy procedure, heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. His research interests include epigenomics and genetics of heart failure.
